About the Author

Taylor is a young professional living in the New Orleans Metro area.  A native of the city, he was born in 1987 and grew up in the vicinity of Arabella Station (now Whole Foods on Magazine).
He is a 'nontraditional' student at the University of New Orleans, pursuing an undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Urban Studies and Business Management and an intent to continue on in pursuit of a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning (MURP).
Suffering from a lifelong obsession with cars, it may seem strange to learn that he is an outspoken advocate of walkability, the quality found in cities and neighborhoods built with the human being as the primary consideration.  He owns two cars (only one runs) and hates driving in the city.  His opinion of the car is that it should be an optional choice for people as opposed to the outright mandate that it is now in so many American and Canadian cities.
He decided to start ParKings of New Orleans after purchasing a GoPro camera, originally for commuting on a bicycle, and discovering that it captured all manner of ill-behaved motorists both at rest and in motion.  At high resolution settings, it is a simple matter to extract frames from the video files as standalone images which led to a search for a similarly-minded website, which he was unable to find.
